Kathleen and Neil had their intimate dream wedding at the new River House at Odette’s in New Hope. This chic, modern and elegant venue opened this past fall and offers spectacular views of the Delaware River and easy access to the scenic canal path that runs for miles along the river. Kathleen and Neil, who planned their wedding in just two months, wanted their love and the celebration of their union to provide a much-needed dose of renewal to family, close friends and loved ones. They had their wedding just after the New Year and because of COVID only seven family members were able to attend.

Kathleen and Neil wanted their special day to be private, held in a beautifully scenic location, yet with access to the town of New Hope for some offbeat photo fun. The River House was perfect for them. A luxury hotel in the midst of historic and picturesque New Hope made for a perfect setting to create beautiful portraits and eclectic wedding images. They were up for trying anything!

The wedding ceremony was live-streamed for loved ones all over the country to watch. So much changed this past year in the age of COVID, but Neil and Kathleen made the best of it. They didn’t have a reception but held a private Zoom chat in their suite with those who couldn’t attend. After some photos of the bride and groom at dusk along the canal behind the River House, they had an elegant dinner celebrating a new year and a new start as husband and wife.

Kathleen was a stunning bride as she ‘s photographed in her wedding gown and veil in the Bridge Suite at the River House at Odette’s.

Kathleen and Neil have some fun as they have a playful moment in front of the huge and gorgeous Christmas tree at the River House. The River House was full of warmth with candles and beautiful decorations for their Holiday wedding.

COVID can’t dampen their holiday vibe and getting married at the River House.

A large Christmas tree adorned the lounge during the Holiday season at the elegant River House at Odette’s. It was just one of the many wonderful places at the venue to photograph brides and grooms on their wedding day. Now it’s off for an adventure in the town of New Hope.

Kathleen’s wedding veil blows in the wind above the crowded streets of New Hope. The scenic falls next to the Bucks County Playhouse are shown to the right.

A favorite photo of mine during this photo session with Neil and Kathleen on their wedding day. We just walked around New Hope and found fun photo vignettes to photograph.

Some wedding day excitement as it’s getting close to ceremony time.

Kathleen and her attendants huddle close for warmth in the January chill along the banks of the Delaware River. They are directly behind the River House so there are great outdoor areas for wedding photos as well.

Kathleen had tears in her eyes as she married the love of her life in the ballroom at the River House.

A favorite moment of mine; Neil and Kathleen have their first dance surrounded by candles and candlelight as they dance to the music of Pat and Sean Kelly.
