This bride wanted a first look, and a moment after her groomed turned to see her, I took this wonderful expression as she first saw her groom on her wedding day.
Brides always ask me whether I think they should do a “first look.” Some call it "The Reveal." My personal feeling is yes, it’s a good idea. With one caveat. Your timeline is important. Prior to the wedding, I spend time with my brides going over the timeline of the day and discussing when we would start photographs. But I’ve also seen valuable wedding day photography time vanish for any number or reasons, such as hair and makeup not finishing up on time.
Hotel du Village is a French Country Estate located just north of New Hope, Pa. It offers two newly refurbished event spaces and twenty-two remodeled guest rooms. The Colt Ballroom features a large stone fireplace and can hold up to 200 guests. The Historic Ballroom can host up to 140 guests. The wall of glass windows overlook the courtyard and Delaware River.
